Are Fossil Fuels Cool @ COP 28?

What’s up with COP28? So far, are countries cool with fossil fuels or do they not like it? Coal’s a fossil fuel that’s primarily composed of carbon. It’s extensively utilized as a source of energy. When it’s burned, the carbon it contains ends up producing carbon dioxide. But, it seemed to be the status quo. With COP28, are regulators and stakeholders still fossil fuel-friendly? Close to 120 countries are said to have supported a phase-out of fossil fuels. This is said to include the US, which is said to be one of the biggest oil and gas producers. India is said to have refrained from a renewable energy pledge at COP28. That seemed to raise eyebrows.
