Slikk, touted as India’s first 60-minute quick commerce fashion delivery startup, has recently raised $10 million in a Series A funding round. The all-equity round led by Nexus Venture Partners also saw participation from existing investor Lightspeed.
The brainchild of Akshay Gulati (CEO), Om Prakash Swami (CTO), and Bipin Singh (CPO), the startup aims to redefine fashion e-commerce in India. Targeting the new-age Indian shoppers, Slikk is already on the way to becoming the go-to platform for those expecting fast delivery of the choicest fashion brands. The brand intends to cater to the growing demands of the urban crowd that is well-acquainted with social trends.
CEO and co-founder Akshay Gulati feels the funding will help them deliver “high-quality customer experience” while also letting brands “unlock new users at a hyperlocal level”. As a part of its scaling plan, Slikk aims to cover categories such as beauty and personal care, footwear and accessories, while expanding to major cities.
According to Pratik Poddar, Partner at the early-stage venture capital firm Nexus Venture Partners, “The Slikk team’s deep category insights and strategic execution are precisely what this moment demands.” Rahul Taneja, Partner, Lightspeed, said that Slikk’s refreshing take on fashion commerce and its strong customer retention paved the way to back the quick fashion delivery startup.
