Elon Musk has spoken about a vision to revolutionize the way people interact with their finances. He aims to make X the focal point of a person’s entire financial universe. The timeline? By the end of 2024. In a call, he remarked that a person’s entire financial existence could be on X. If it involves money, he sees it integrated into X, whether it’s money, securities or anything else. He’s looking at a scenario, where a person won’t require a bank account. He envisions a world where X becomes an all-encompassing financial platform. So, it would be about managing money, investments and assets all within a single app: that’s the future Musk hopes to propelling the world toward. Musk expressed his desire for a rapid rollout, saying that it would be astonishing if these features weren’t fully implemented by the end of 2024. How could this happen? This would require X to obtain money transmission licenses across the US. Musk is said to be confident that these remaining prerequisites would be secured in the next few months. Does this sound too crazy? Is this a new vision? X was once known as X.com, which was Elon Musk’s dot-com era online bank. This, later, evolved into PayPal. Elon Musk’s ultimate goal is said to be enabling users to”send money anywhere in the world instantly and in real-time. This shift toward an all-encompassing financial platform aligns with Musk’s overarching goal of making X the ultimate everything app. He is said to envision it as a super app akin to China’s WeChat, which integrates a multitude of services, from shopping to transportation.
