In the midst of policymakers trying to figure out how to regulate AI, have we come to a point where AI, itself, is framing laws? This might already be a reality. In late November 2023, Brazil’s Porto Alegre City Council was said to have passed its first-ever law crafted entirely by AI. The legislation was said to focus on water meters, which measure the volume of water consumed.
