Protective farming agritech brand GROWiT India has recently raised $3 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Ahmedabad-based venture capital fund GVFL (Gujarat Venture Finance Limited) and also witnessed participation from investors such as Veloce Opportunities Fund, Sunicon Ventures Fund, JITO, We Founder Circle and Progrowth Ventures.
Surat-based startup GROWiT offers soil-to-harvest agritech solutions in India and plans to expand to Africa and various other emerging markets. The funds will help the startup execute its expansion plans, invest in R&D and boost its technology infrastructure.
The startup launched India’s first pocket-friendly soil-testing device back in April 2025. Their other products are crop covers, mulch films and weed mats. Their offerings are crafted to help in crop protection and agricultural productivity while promoting sustainability.
GROWiT claims to have grown at 50–60% CAGR over the last three years. The startup has apparently also empowered more than 2,25,000 farmers with its sustainable and affordable farming solutions.
Speaking about GROWiT, Mihir Joshi, Managing Director, GVFL, said the brand has a large innovation product portfolio and a pan-India distribution channel. He explained how the startup has been helping farmers grow more and earn better by “making climate-friendly, sustainable farming methods more affordable and effective”. He added that GVFL views this as a key focus area and feels GROWiT is “a strong player emerging in this segment”.
Saurabh Agarwal, Founder & CEO, GROWiT, said, “With climate change emerging as a huge challenge in the agriculture sector, it is essential that we build resilience with the help of technology.” He explained how most of India still depends on agriculture, though the sector doesn’t have the technological advancements it needs, due to it being too expensive or inaccessible. He added, “At GROWiT, our commitment is towards developing sustainable agriculture with optimisation of productivity by making available, affordable tools.” He also said that GROWiT intends to transform agriculture by “increasing yields, cutting input costs and driving sustainable farming”. He claimed his aim was to provide a “one-stop solution for farmers”.
