What do you do when you get tired? Do you sometimes feel lazy? Could AI models get that way too? ChatGPT users around the world seem to be making a claim: OpenAI’s ChatGPT is getting lazy. According to some users, ChatGPT is said to have been providing lackluster responses, refusing to complete tasks and not being as helpful. OpenAI seems to have addressed this feedback about GPT-4 getting lazier. It mentioned that the model hadn’t been updated since November 2023 and ChatGPT wasn’t being intentionally lazy. According to OpenAI, model behaviour could be unpredictable and it was looking into fixing this.
